How many times have you played a role of somebody in a lifetime? From a baby to daughter, friend, colleague, girlfriend, wife, mom, aunt, grandma, neighbour, stranger and whoever you could think of.
When a stranger becomes your friend; from a friend to shopping partner, drinking pal, smoking companion, good friend, buddy.. a beautiful cycle which sometimes does not only belong to a somebody.
You met a stranger one day; Stranger becomes your friend, activity partner, happily hopes that the next step is becoming the starring of your love story but you have a secret which cannot be revealed. Perhaps is the impact of chemical reaction, by all efforts you try to cover it, hide it and pretend not knowing it.
You suddenly feel reluctant when you realize this stranger has been too good to you; pretending not to know your secret when it was getting obvious. You won’t know when love starts to fade. As time goes by, stranger becomes less aggressive because of your drawback. Stranger left; still, you have chosen to protect your secret.
Beautiful cycles do not happen once a life time. It happens everywhere, all the time. One stranger after another walks in and out of your life, you are still holding on to your secret which is a weapon and also a first aid kit.
You recall strangers who ran out of a meeting because of you, quited a favorite sport, ran away from home, wakes you up every morning for class, broke off with a girlfriend, took you to the doctor when you’re sick, cook for you and make sure you swallow your medicine; but you missed the one who always took good care of you every time you were drunk, carried you to your bed and rub your forehead but never took advantage of you.
After a while, your stranger comes back but things weren’t the same anymore. The feeling, the communication, the look. You know your best companion after all, is still the little secret that is able to play any role beyond your imagination.
For a stranger who once enlightened somebody by sharing a story without mentioning anybody.
